People have been IN LOVE with him since DH and they hate James, but I love him to death, he’s arrogant and hysterical and an amazing person who died for the people he loved and spent his whole life trying to obtain what he wanted, which I respect. I hate that people hate him. I like Severus back when he was a kid, but as an adult…well, I have a lot of opinions on love. He should have stopped loving Lily a lot time ago; he lost her about twenty years before PS and it’s time to find someone new and win the friend breakup, so to speak. Yes, I like him, but he isn’t the hero everyone suddenly decided he was. He’s snarky and I like that, but he and Lily DON’T BELONG TOGETHER. Yes, he’s brave, and it’s sweet in a lot of ways—but is it right to covet what’s never been yours?
